Bride: Jennifer Long
Wedding and Reception: Cork Factory Hotel, Lancaster, PA
Date: July 20, 2012
Though we never met with Jennifer, only through email, we immediately understood the feeling she wanted to convey. It was easy. She told us that her wedding would be at the Cork Factory in Lancaster, once a 19th Century factory known for producing wine corks. Cork is impermeable, watertight, and solid, but yet can bend without breaking because of it's elasticity. The same can be said for Jennifer and John's relationship.
The Cork Factory has an industrial and old world feeling. Bricks complimented by wood, paralleled with iron and glass. What a neat place! This is definitely an alternative location and we wanted to compliment the feeling through our designs. Jennifer emailed us a picture of an artificial bouquet she really liked and we suggested using fresh flowers to get a natural look. With no hesitation, she agreed and we proceeded! We interpreted the picture by using fresh:
- Lambs Ear
- Artemesia
- Seed pod from Lambs Ear
- Scabisoa Pods
- Euremus
- Garden Rose
- Astillbe
Jennifer was pleased! Her natural arrangements were stunning and aligned with the setting of the Cork Factory. We want to thank Tony Gibble Photography for supplying us with the fantastic photos from this picture perfect wedding. Enjoy!
