Touching Earth

Bride: Emily Dean
Church:
Saint Katharine Drexel Church, Mechanicsburg, PA
Reception: Hershey Country Club

When a friend asks you to design her wedding flowers there's a certain duty that comes with the territory. Emily, a dear friend of Pealer's, came to us inspired by the outdoors and her goal was to make an external environment internal. So naturally (pun intended) visions of woods, grass, cream, khaki and pale yellow filled our minds. The organic theme is very popular, but what could we do that would be unique? How about using tree slabs, purchased from a local arborist, as center pieces? The idea was a hit with Emily! The texture and color of the tree slab was a beautiful contrast on the cream colored table cloth. We were also inspired by Emily's husband. He is Irish so we thought it was fitting to use Bells of Ireland. Here is a list of what we used in our designs:
  • White and purple lisianthas
  • Green hydrangea
  • White hydrangea
  • Green hypericum berries
Thank you to Sanderson Images for sharing these wonderful photos! Enjoy!
