Spring into Wedding Flowers

Beautiful all red arrangements on black and white linen.  Gerbera daisies and roses topped the tall black vase, red roses filled the clear square and red carnation balls graced the candelabra holders.

Soft and elegant all white and cream on a white satin linen.  White hydrangea, snapdragons, roses and greens filled the silver candelabra, white cymbidium orchids filled the cylinder vase, and white roses filled the bubble bowls.

Balloons and More provided us with the linens and balloon arch.

The parking lot was all set for our honored guest to arrive.
Stocks on 2nd provided wonderful foods for us to sample!
Champaign punch, soda and beer to toast our happy couples!
The Virginia Nut Shop created a table of sweets!

Christina and Brad

Through High School and College this couple remained adamant that they were "just friends" even though Christina's brother announced early on that Brad would marry his sister.  It was evident to friends and family that they were meant to be together but Christina and Brad were both afraid to reveal their true feelings, fearing they would destroy their perfect friendship.  In 2010 Brad's work Christmas party changed everything. "...he made me feel like a queen, like I was the only person in the room."  Brad took great pains in planning his proposal to Christina; taking her back to the high school where they met, playing a song he had written for the occasion, going to the hotel where they shared their first dance at their prom and making sure they were surrounded by family and friends when he got down on his knee and asked Christina to be his wife.  Brad has kept a journal of all of his and Christina's dates and will read the entries to her, reliving where they went and what they did.  "It has been such an amazing journey, we are in love and we can not wait to spend the rest of our lives together."

Teresa and Robert

As a single mother of three children with special needs, Teresa felt that Robert entering their lives was a gift from God.  In Teresa's words, "He was the dad and husband we had always dreamed of. He came to know each and every one of us, doing all he could for all of us as a family unit. He loved and treated the children as his own, and they quickly came to love and respect him in return.  His love was true and genuine, but mostly, it was unconditional."  Robert sought the permission of Teresa's children to marry her and proposed on a walk one afternoon in a local park.  Although Teresa has developed a serious medical issue, Robert and the children continue to plan an August wedding and reception. And Teresa says "Even though I have met more challenges than most have in combined lives, I still feel like the luckiest girl in the world."

Samantha and Tim

Samantha and Tim met in high school and became good friends. Because they hung out together so much her parents constantly asked if Tim was Sam's boyfriend. "He's not my boyfriend!" was always her reply. But things change and they soon began dating. In August of 2010 Sam was diagnosed with cancer and on a weekend trip to Philadelphia prior to the start of her chemotherapy, Tim proposed.  They pushed their wedding date back to June of 2012 so that Sam could complete her chemo treatments and have time to recover.  Tim was Sam's rock, attending every doctor appointment and treatment session. Through guest donations and a dollar dance they will be honoring the help Sam received from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They want their wedding to celebrate health, happiness and the companionship they share with one and other.

Ashley and Todd's Love Story

Todd and Ashley met while she was at Penn State Harrisburg and he was completing the police Academy at HACC. They met for the first time at a mutual friend's football party.  Ashlely had completed basic training in 2002 and started a conversation with Todd about his training. From their first date there was an amazing connection and 2 years later they were engaged.  But before any planning could really begin Ashley was deployed to Afghanistan.  Time zone differences, unreliable internet service and the constant stress of being in a war zone made participation in the planning process difficult for Ashley.  Todd was here, taking care of the wedding details while being an active police officer.  While other brides are pampered and immersed in their weddings, Ashley was in combat boots, away from her fiance and family. But they realized their time away from each other only strengthened their love and they don't take any time together now for granted.

Melanie and Mike's Love Story!

They met on a summer trip to Europe between high school and college, not a care in the world.  Melanie and Mike had attended Central Dauphin together but didn’t know each other until they boarded the plane.  They spent 10 days falling head over heels for each other and then the real world caught up with them.  Different colleges three hours apart; trains, buses and helpful roommates  allowed them to visit often.  With college graduation looming they travel to Hershey’s Fennici’s restaurant to celebrate New Year’s Eve.  After dinner, as the Hershey Kiss started to rise, Mike dropped to one knee, held up the ring and asked Melanie to marry him.  Her response was a chorus of Yes! Yes! Yes!  For this couple, Hershey is the sweetest place on earth.

Tiffany and Ronaldo's Love Story!!!

“I wanted to tell the story of how I met my fiancĂ©e, Tiffany, and how our relationship grew out of a long lasting friendship.” This is how Ronaldo started to tell us his love story. They first met on the campus of Temple University through a mutual friend. They shared a common background of growing up in Harrisburg and he was immediately attracted to her outgoing personality and her smile. Once they graduated from college she moved to Washington DC and he moved to New York City. Six years later Ronaldo returned to the Harrisburg area while Tiffany remained in DC. Tiffany was making frequent trips home to care for her mother who was battling cancer and Ronaldo made sure she knew he was there for her. And their longtime friendship finally blossomed into full blown love. Unfortunately Tiffany’s mother lost her battle, but to honor her memory, Ronaldo proposed to Tiffany on Mother’s Day. Later that day they announced their engagement during dinner with her grandmother, aunts and other family members. “It was the best day of my life!” Ronaldo, we found your story so touching and wish you and Tiffany a wonderful life.
